Pricing Model

We would like to introduce you to the Pricing Model for all Wolt Courier Partners in Wolt Baltics. There are five main points to mention regarding the Pricing Model: Upfront pricing, Pay for pickup, Estimated route distance, Reject button and Simplified earnings.

We do this to avoid that less attractive tasks are rejected simply because you might feel that the effort needed for that task is not worth the fee.

By better matching the fee with the effort needed, the aim is to have tasks be accepted quicker making our service more efficient and minimising delayed orders and dissatisfied customers. In the future, we’ll also be able to account for difficulty of finding venue/customer locations, weather, type of order, and other variables, that can affect the effort needed to complete the task.

Ultimately, we want to make all tasks equally worth your time and effort.

Upfront pricing

In addition to pickup and drop-off addresses, you see the task earnings for each delivery task before you accept or reject it. In a nutshell, this means that you have a better chance of quickly evaluating what each task is worth. We aim to make sure the earnings offered for a task better reflect the actual effort needed to deliver that order. When a task pops up, you are able to see the offered task earnings by Wolt, but any tips related to the task will be added after. Our goal is make it easier to decide which tasks to accept!

Pay for pickup

You are compensated for the distance between you and the venue, when accepting the task. It means that you will be compensated for the entire distance from accepting the task to delivering it to the customer. We know that this is a feature that also has been requested from you for a long time in our quarterly satisfaction survey.

Estimated route distance

You will be compensated for distance based on a pre calculated route. This means that when receiving a task, a route is calculated in the navigation section of the app. This prevents situations where a straight-line distance across a river or something similar, where the distance would be much shorter than the calculated road distance. We hope this creates a more transparent way of looking at distance when delivering with Wolt.

Reject button

Our courier partners have the option to cancel any orders that are not acceptable to them! If you are not happy with an order and do not want it delivered, you just need to click on the cancel/reject button. Thanks to this feature, there is no need to contact the support team to remove the order and/or wait for the order to disappear. We hope that this will help you to make your deliveries on the Wolt platform even more efficient.

You can unassign yourself from tasks that you are unable to pick-up 📲

Our courier partners have the option to cancel any orders that are not acceptable to them! If you are not happy with an order and do not want it delivered, you just need to click on the cancel/reject button.

If you run low on battery or your vehicle breaks down on the way to the Merchant, you can now cancel a task without contacting our Support Team.

How do self-unassigns work?

As always, you still have the freedom to accept or decline any tasks you are offered. Once you have accepted a task, it is yours to pick-up and deliver unless you experience unexpected issues.

If you run low on battery or experience issues with your vehicle before you reach the pick-up location, you can now unassign yourself from the task quickly and easily. You can do this up to 3 times per month but you can always contact our Support Team if you are unlucky enough to experience unexpected issues more than 3 times during one month.

If your issue occurs very close to the pick-up location or on your way to the customer, you will still have to contact our Support Team to unassign yourself from the task and coordinate what will happen with the order you picked up.

Why are we making this change?
Even though our Support Team usually replies really quickly, we want to ensure that you do not have to write to us to unassign from a task in case of emergency. Unexpected issues do occur from time to time when delivering, and based on your feedback we want to do our best to offer you a smooth experience in these situations.

Simplified earnings

The earnings screen in the Wolt Partner app gives you a simplified overview of your earnings and it easy to understand. You find it in the menu in the top left corner, which is the one you can see after completion of a task. The results in a payout page that summarises your completed tasks in a compact and clean view.

Bundles

Bundles enable you to deliver more orders and increase your earnings.

With a bundle, one courier can perform two (or more) deliveries at a time. This means you can maximise your earnings while decreasing the time needed and the distance covered for each delivery.

Bonus system/Challenges

Challenges/Bonuses are a fun way of motivating and at the same time rewarding our courier partners. In order to receive the bonus for a challenge, a certain amount of orders has to be completed in the set time frame. Bonuses are created strategically, each bonus can be completed in the said time frame and no exceptions are made. If you don’t complete the challenge on time, no bonus will be added. Please note that the bonus end time is with a second accuracy.

Sometimes, challenges are run on an ad-hoc basis, and we are notifying about them via the Wolt Partner App - keep your eyes on notifications, if you do not want to miss an opportunity to earn more!
